Barnardo's Scotland Fostering provides foster placements and child therapeutic services to children and young people with a range of additional support needs. This includes interim, long term and permanent fostering as well as short-breaks.We also provide continuing care placements.

Our name will be familiar to you as a Children’s charity whose sole purpose is to improve the lives of children and young people. Barnardo’s has several services across Scotland, operating in Edinburgh, Glasgow & the Northeast, allowing us the flexibility to support foster carers, young people, and their families throughout Scotland.

If you live in North Scotland and are interested in fostering a child, we're here to help.

Here at Barnardo's Scotland Fostering North, our team of dedicated social workers will support you throughout the whole of your fostering journey.  The rewards are huge.  Knowing you've made a difference to a child's life is something that will stay with you forever.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who are interested in fostering older children and teenagers, or children with additional support needs.  We also need more foster carers who can care for brothers and sisters and retain these special childhood relationships.
