Body found in search for missing Scots woman Christine Thomson, 61

The body of a woman has been discovered in the search for missing Christine Thomson.

The 61-year-old had been reported missing last night from the Seafield Terrace area.

Police say the body is still to be formally identified however Christine’s next of kin have been informed.

An appeal to fine Christine was launched today with police, fire crews and coastguard teams searching the area close to the River Isla near Keith train station.

The Coastguard helicopter was also deployed in the search for Christine.

In a statement Police Scotland say: “The body of a woman has been found in the Keith area following searches for Christine Thomson, 61, who had been reported missing.

Search for Christine Thomson in Moray earlier today.

“The body is still to be formally identified but her next of kin has been made aware.

“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”
