Police have released a CCTV image as part of their ongoing enquiries to trace a missing Scots hillwalker.
The 53-year-old was in a grey Ford Focus Estate with with roof bars attached and registration VRM HY64.
He is a keen hillwalker and has been known to visit a number of spots across Argyll and Bute, Stirlingshire and the Perthshire Highlands.
Some of his favoured sites include Tyndrum, Oban, Ben Lawers, Glencoe and Callander.
Officers have continued to appeal for information and they have released a CCTV image of Mark’s last known sighting at a petrol station, as well as a picture of his car.
Mark is described as a white man, around 5ft 8in tall with a shaved head.
When last seen, Mark was wearing a black waist length waterproof jacket, branded Regatta or Trespass, black walking trousers and grey and yellow coloured Salomon walking shoes.
Inspector Kim Stuart said: “Whilst we are still keeping an open mind to where Mark may have gone, we are now looking to appeal to those further afield as it is possible he has left Fife.
“We know he stopped at a fuel station near to his home shortly after he left home, however he has not been seen or heard from since.
“He is known to go hillwalking across Scotland and has a number of favourite places such as Killin, Ben Lawers, Glencoe, Callander and Strathyre and Kinloch Rannoch.
“Mark is not equipped for hillwalking and as time goes on we are growing increasingly concerned for him.
“Please think back, have you seen a man matching his description? Have you seen the car parked up anywhere? It is fairly distinctive with roof bars.
“Mark, if you see this appeal – please get in touch, your family are worried and just want you home.”
Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 2865 of Thursday, May 5, 2022.
